Hi there wonderful kids, this term we are focusing on:
SIGNIFICANT EVENTS, how they are caused and the effects they have had on people PLUS how and why people experience events in different ways.

We can link all events in history to NZ in some way - that is because the action of even thinking about an event causes our NEW ZEALAND brains to understand how and why the event occurred. This means that without trying, we compare it to stuff in New Zealand that we already know about. We try to visualise it just through what we understand ourselves. Anyway..... someone the events we will be looking at are:
-INVENTIONS IN HISTORY
-THE BLACK DEATH
-WITCH HUNTS
-THE EFFECT ON THE INCA OF BEING FOUND BY THE SPANISH.

We are also doing lots of thinking about weird ideas this term. This is so we can look at our significant events in history with different points of view and with lots of ideas.
